Forward says he has a point to prove after becoming the latest returnee to the Racers

Murrayfield Racers have continued to assemble their roster for the new season with the re-signing of forward Kieran Black.

The 26-year-old joined the in 2019 after a spell out of the game and helped the club win the Stuart Robertson Cup and NIHL North Cup.

Black had previously been a prolific points scorer in the Murrayfield junior system and represented Scotland in their annual U19 match against England.

The forward admits that it took him time to get back up to speed during the 2019/20 campaign but is confident he will step things up this term.

“I’m excited to come back to the Racers – it’s been a long time coming!” he said.

“I’ll be looking to come back with a different approach. I felt disheartened with how I played and contributed last season.

“I’m aiming to return faster and willing to make the effort the team requires after we’ve been out for such a long period of time.

“I can’t wait to have the gang back together and see all the boys again.”
