Murrayfield Racers are pleased to confirm that Aiden Paterson has signed for the club this season.
The young ‘D’ man has impressed with Lanarkshire Lightning and Fife Falcons at junior level and is keen to make his mark in the Scottish National League.
Paterson’s form brought him to the attention of the Scottish National Coaching Team, resulting in a call-up to represent his country at Conference level.
The 17-year-old’s addition to the roster demonstrates the Racers’ commitment to providing a platform for Scotland’s top young players to showcase their ability.
Paterson said: “During the absence of hockey in the last 18 months, ice time has been limited.
“I’ve made sure that I continue developing off the ice through gym work, so I was ready for whenever it was safe to return to action.
“Over the course of the new season, I want to contribute as much as possible to the team.
“We’ll be aiming to start this season the way we left off with success and give the fans what they have waited to see for over a year and a half.”
