Promising Scotland junior eager to test himself after sealing Racers move

Murrayfield Racers are delighted to confirm that promising Scottish ‘D’ man Aiden Paterson will be joining the club’s roster this season.

Paterson has impressed with Lanarkshire Lightning and Fife Falcons at junior level, sparking plenty of interest from senior clubs across Scotland.

The young blueliner’s form has seen him called up to represent his country at Conference level, highlighting his future potential.

“I’m very excited to be signing with the Racers this season,” he said. “With the success of the team in the past two years, I believe this will be the move for me to develop as a player and be part of something special.”

The addition of Paterson to the Racers’ roster is further highlights the club’s commitment to providing Scotland’s best youngsters with a sustainable platform to showcase their talents.

Paterson, who is also hoping to continue his development at U18 level, says he is delighted to have the opportunity to test himself further up the scale.

“The opportunity to play in the NIHL North Cup is a major attraction for me in moving to Murrayfield,” he added.

“I believe the Racers are more than capable of winning the competition again and I would love to be able to contribute to that as much as possible.”
