Dean Walker has agreed his third season with Murrayfield Racers.
The 23-year-old has helped the Racers win back-to-back doubles in his first two years with the club, a tally that includes a memorable success in the 2019/20 NIHL North Cup.
The ‘D’ Man has been a consistent performer in the Scottish National League (SNL) over the past few seasons, having previously represented his country at junior level.
Walker, who becomes the sixth player from last season’s defensive unit to return for another year, says he is delighted to remain with the club.
“Last season was great and proving everyone wrong in the NIHL North Cup just topped it off,” he said. “Hopefully we can build on last season’s success.
“I can say by far it’s the best changing room I have been involved in – you couldn’t ask for better teammates, everyone just plays for each other.
“I felt that I improved a lot last season, more towards the end. I was getting more confidence and scoring goals.
“I aim to keep on improving my game nest season and help the team as much as I can. Hopefully we can add some more silverware and keep our fans singing.”
