Murrayfield Racers are delighted to confirm that Ethan Reid has agreed another season with the club.
Reid has established himself as a key member of the team’s defensive unit, helping the Racers win back-to-back doubles.
The 17-year-old says he is delighted to be the tenth returnee to the club’s roster this summer.
“Last season was a big success despite the abrupt ending,” he said.
“My expectations personally and as a team were surpassed, winning the NIHL North Cup and Stuart Robertson Cup while also improving as a player.
“As for next season, I hope to win as much silverware as possible and keep the buzz within the club going.
“I really appreciate the support of the fans and a special wee shout out to Orla who is always there to wave me off the ice.”
Reid’s impressive performances over the past couple of seasons have resulted in him being included in both Scotland and Great Britain junior squads.
He was named on the GB roster for the World Championship (Division 2A) tournament in Estonia, but was unable to take part due to the early curtailment of the season.
“Having the GB tournament cancelled was hard to take,” he added.
“Past experiences with the squad were some of the best I’ve had in my career so far, so making the team again this year will be a goal of mine.”
