Key ‘D’ man back on the blueline as Racers chase more silverware

Influential ‘D’ man Rihards Grigors has agreed another year with Murrayfield Racers.

Grigors has played a key role in the Racers’ success over the past couple of seasons and is eager to help the club continue its growth this term.

The-28-year-old finished as third highest points scorer for the Racers in 2019/20, scoring 23 goals with 42 assists in all competitions.

His efforts helped the Racers retain the Stuart Robertson Cup and win the NIHL North Cup for the first time.

“The club had very good season overall,” he said. “Winning the NIHL North Cup proved that the Racers are heading in the right direction.

“A big part in our success was the amazing Racers fans and I’m looking forward to playing in front of them again next season.

“I was happy with my own performances last season – giving my all every game, but I did have some bad nights.

“Next season we’ll focus on every game and hopefully I can help the team win more games and silverware.”
