Murrayfield Racers booked their place in the final of the Scottish Cup after easing past Dundee Tigers in the second leg of their last four tie over the weekend.
The Racers went into the game with a 3-2 lead after the first leg in Dundee and were favourites to complete the job back on home ice.
Tony Hand’s side had already made appearances in two cup finals this season and were eager to make it three against the Tigers.
First period goals by Rihards Grigors and Callum Boyd set the Racers on their way and they never looked in danger of relinquishing their advantage.
Garry Simpson, Rolands Dietlavs, Callum Boyd and Ethan Reid hit the target in the middle session to make it 6-0 on the night and 9-2 overall.
The Tigers briefly rallied in the third period, with Andrew Henderson and Ross Johnston getting on the scoresheet.
However, any faint hopes of a comeback were extinguished as Archie Holmes grabbed the final goal of the game to seal a 10-4 aggregate victory.
The Racers will now face either Dundee Comets or Paisley Pirates in the final at Dundee Ice Arena on Saturday, 21st March.
The team turn their attentions back to the Scottish National League this coming Saturday as they welcome North Ayrshire Wild to Murrayfield Ice Rink.
