Murrayfield Racers face a weekend on the road as they continue their defence of the Scottish National League (SNL) title.
The Racers visit Kilmarnock Thunder on Saturday, before travelling to play Paisley Pirates the following day.
They are currently 14 points behind leaders Solway Sharks, but with six games in hand. The two sides are set to go head-to-head at Murrayfield Ice Rink later this month.
Tony Hand’s side met Kilmarnock twice during the group stage of the Stuart Robertson Cup (SRC), recording comfortable victories on each occasion.
They have also played them in the SNL and Scottish Cup this term, again winning both meetings in emphatic fashion.
Paisley are another familiar foe for the Racers this season, with the two sides also facing each other twice during the opening stage of the SRC.
The Racers triumphed 9-1 on home ice in their first encounter and followed with a 12-1 road victory in the reverse fixture.
The Pirates were beaten twice by Dundee Comets last weekend, but can be fully expected to try and make life difficult for the Racers this weekend.
Murrayfield’s next home game is on Sunday, 19th January, against Solway (face-off 6.00pm) in the second leg of their NIHL North Cup semi-final.
The first leg is scheduled to take place at Dumfries Ice Bowl the previous day (face-off 7.00pm).
