Murrayfield Racers switch their attentions to the Stuart Robertson Cup (SRC) this weekend as they go head-to-head with Aberdeen Lynx.
The two sides will meet in the first leg of their semi-final tie at Murrayfield Ice Rink on Sunday (face-off 6.00pm), with the reverse fixture scheduled to take place in Aberdeen the following Saturday.
The Racers breezed through the opening phase in this season’s competition, winning all six matches in the southern section.
They will be eager to maintain that level of form against Aberdeen as they bid to defend the trophy they won in impressive fashion last term.
Lynx made it through to the last four after winning three of their six fixtures in the northern group to secure second spot behind Dundee Comets.
They head into the game on the back of a disappointing league defeat against Dundee Tigers last weekend and will be eager to produce an improved performance against the Racers.
The fixture kicks-off a busy December for the Racers, with the team facing a total of eight fixtures before the end of the year.
In addition to their two SRC meetings with Lynx, Tony Hand’s side also face four league matches and a two-legged Scottish Cup quarter-final tie against Kilmarnock Thunder.
