Murrayfield Racers host Paisley Pirates on Sunday (face-off 6.00pm) aiming to maintain their unbeaten record in the Stuart Robertson Cup (SRC).
The Racers have won all four matches in the competition to date and will be eager to beat the Pirates to boost their chances of securing top spot in the southern section.
Paisley failed to progress out of their SRC group last season, with North Ayrshire Wild edging them out to secure a place in the final against the Racers.
Tony Hand’s side went on to lift the trophy courtesy of a 17-5 aggregate success over Wild and followed up by claiming the Scottish National League (SNL) title without losing a game.
Murrayfield completed the double over the Pirates in the SNL last term, recording two 4-3 victories during a three-week spell back in January.
Joel Gautcshi (2), Michael Ireland and Callum Boyd were on target for the Racers in their first meeting, while Sean Donaldson and Aaron Robertson joined Ireland and Boyd on the scoresheet in the reverse fixture.
The Braehead-based outfit gained their revenge later in the season by defeating Murrayfield in the final of the SNL play-offs at Dundee Ice Arena.
With an away match against the Pirates completing their opening phase fixtures in the SRC on 16th November, two points on Sunday would put the Racers in pole position to win the group.
