Murrayfield Racers are delighted to confirm that new signing Jack Wright is available to play in this weekend’s games.
The club had been liaising with Ice Hockey UK on some administrative issues in respect of the player’s nationality status, but this has now been resolved.
The 20-year-old has now been cleared to join the Racers’ rank of British players and will provide more competition for places as the team bids to build on its unbeaten start to the season.
Racers Director, Willie Dunn, said: “It is great news for Jack that his situation has been resolved.
“He’s studying at Edinburgh University and has been training with us for a few weeks getting fit.
“Jack is really looking forward to playing this weekend and will hopefully make an immediate impression for the Racers.
“I’d also like to take this opportunity to publicly thank Andy French at Ice Hockey UK for his help and advice regarding the new rules for British passport holders.”
