Murrayfield Racers began their defence of the Scottish National League (SNL) title with an impressive victory at Dundee Tigers on Sunday.
The home side had played well in their opening two fixtures this season and they started on the front foot against the Racers.
Craig Findlay put the Tigers ahead in the ninth minute and it was a lead they would retain until early in the second period.
The Racers finally got on the scoreboard after 23 minutes as Joel Gautschi bagged his first goal of the evening.
Three quickfire goals midway through the game put the Racers in control, with Ethan Reid, Gautschi and Alex Christian making it 4-1.
Gautschi took his tally to four on the night either side of a Lewis Gold goal to complete a resounding 7-1 success.
