Murrayfield Racers kick-off their preparations for the 2019/20 season on Sunday as they go head-to-head with Dundee Comets for the Caledonia Challenge Cup (face-off 6.00pm).
The Comets lifted the trophy last year, bouncing back from a defeat on home ice to win the match-up courtesy of a sudden death overtime goal in the second leg.
With Dundee unable to secure ice-time for a return fixture, this year’s battle to win the cup will be a one-off match at Murrayfield Ice Rink.
In the event of a tie after 60 minutes, the game will go straight to penalty shots.
The Racers start the new season the following Saturday with a trip to face Kilmarnock Thunder in the Stuart Robertson Cup (face-off 3.30pm).
There are still a few places remaining on the coach for this fixture. The cost is £20 per person (travel only). Please email tickets@mracers.com to book your place.
The team are also in action on Sunday, 1st September, when they host Paisley Pirates in a challenge match (face-off 6.00pm).
