Slovakian forward makes the move to Murrayfield

Murrayfield Racers have added forward Karol Divok to their roster ahead of the upcoming season.

The 26-year-old heads to Murrayfield having spent the 2018/19 Scottish National League campaign with Paisley Pirates.

The Slovakian arrived in Scotland on the back of three impressive seasons in his homeland, racking up 90 points in 52 games in the third tier.

He went on to enjoy success with Paisley last term, helping the team finish second in the league and win the end-of-season play-offs.

Divok says he is delighted to join the reigning SNL champions.

“I’ve left the Pirates because I’m looking for new challenges like the NIHL North Cup,” he said.

“My family and I like Edinburgh a lot and I’ve wanted to play here before. I hope that my skills from the Slovak leagues can help the team go forward and that I’ll be a significant player.

“I really appreciate that the Pirates gave me a chance last season and I wish them good luck for the future.”
