Borwick aiming to keep moving forward in second season with the Racers

Murrayfield Racers are delighted to announce that Ross Borwick has agreed another year with the club.

Better known as a ‘D’ man, Borwick highlighted his versatility last season after being switched into a forward role.

The 19-year-old bagged 16 points in 14 appearances as the Racers clinched the Scottish National League (SNL) title without losing a game.

He also helped the team win the Stuart Robertson Cup and reach the finals of both the SNL play-offs and Scottish Cup.

Borwick, who is likely to feature exclusively as a forward this term, says he is looking forward to helping the team lift even more trophies this time around.

“I thought last season went really well considering it was a completely new team,” he said.

“We all got on really well on and off the ice and that helped us achieve what we did.

“I felt as if I progressed well as the season went on and I’m keen to keep on improving this year.

“I’m looking to meeting the new faces and playing alongside them. Hopefully we can build on last year and win even more silverware.”
