Experienced forward, Sean Donaldson, has agreed a second season with Murrayfield Racers.
The 31-year-old returned to the ice last November after a spell out of the game and became an important part of the club’s bid for honours.
Donaldson bagged eight goals and 27 assists in 13 appearances as the Racers claimed the league title without losing a game.
He also helped the club win the Stuart Robertson Cup and reach the finals of both the SNL play-offs and Scottish Cup.
Donaldson has been a prolific point scorer throughout his career and is aiming to continue in the same vein next term.
“I really enjoyed last season,” he said. “I think it can be a bit of a cliche when players say that it was a great dressing room, but it truly was – probably the best I’ve been a part of.
“The club is very well run and has great fans who support the team with passion home and away.
“It was fantastic to win the league in the club’s first season and our cup runs were also something to be proud of.
“I did okay personally, but you always have to look to improve. It’ll be better to be involved right from the start of the season this time around.
“I’ve set myself a few targets for the season, so will be working hard to achieve them. I’ll also be looking to help the younger players where I can, encouraging them to do the things I wish I did more of!
“As a team we obviously need to be up there competing for the domestic trophies again at the very least and will most definitely be looking to improve in the NIHL North Cup.”
