Murrayfield Racers are delighted to confirm the club will play in the NIHL North Cup next season.
The Racers will face Dundee Comets, Solway Sharks, Whitley Warriors and Billingham Stars in the first phase of the competition, with the top four sides progressing to the semi-finals.
The last four ties and final will be both be played over two legs to determine the winners of the cup.
Murrayfield took part in the competition last season, memorably beating former EPL side Sheffield Steeldogs during the group stage. The Steeldogs went on to lift the trophy.
Racers Director, Willie Dunn, said: “We’re looking forward to taking part in the cup next season and in particular locking horns once more with Whitley Warriors, a team the Racers have always had great battles with.
“The competition will undoubtedly be a great opportunity to test ourselves against the top teams in NIHL1 North.
“We’re also delighted that Dundee have followed our lead and taken an ambitious step by joining the competition.
“We learned a lot in last season’s cup and our aim this time around is to progress as far as we possibly can.”
Full fixtures will be confirmed once these have been agreed with the opposing teams.
