Treble-chasing Racers ramp up cup preparations against national side

Murrayfield Racers will step up their preparations for the Scottish Cup Final when they go head-to-head with Scotland U19 on Sunday (face-off 5.30pm).

The Racers have already won the Scottish National League and Stuart Robertson Cup this season and will bid to complete the treble at Dundee Ice Arena on Saturday, 11th May.

This weekend’s game will also serve as a warm-up for the national side’s upcoming fixture against England at iceSheffield eight days earlier.

The traditional curtain-raiser to the annual Conference tournament sees the two sides face-off for the prestigious Frank Dempster Memorial Trophy.

Scotland are bidding to claim the trophy for the second successive year having recorded a thrilling 5-4 overtime victory in 2018.

Racers’ defenseman Ethan Reid has been named in a strong-looking Scotland squad for a game that is always an entertaining affair.

Admission for adults for this Sunday’s game at Murrayfield Ice Rink is £10.00 per person, concessions (U16, OAP and disabled) £5.00. Please note the fixture is cash only on the door.
